Jimbo Cayzer returns with two corking tracks lifted from the Anjunadeep:02 compilation. Opener ‘In The Jungle’ is a spacey mix loaded with chunky grooves, filtered vocals and metallic synths and gives a sly nod to ‘Pepe’s Garden’ with its subtle loopy effects and positive outlook.
‘Ozone’ has a much more melancholic edge than we’re used to from the prolific Aussie; The rocking grooves and energy are all present and correct of course, but there are dashes of sadness in those cascading, retro, almost Michael Cassette-inspired melodies. Two great mixes that see Jimbo opening his account for 2010 in style! |
