Since Peter Rauhofer is booked in Rio on october 9th, I pretty much doubt he can make it to Montreal by the 10th.
I also doubt B&B will break the 10K barrier this year. Although, they spent a lot of money on the Trance room to attract the straights, a lot of gays will end up at the Ana Paula & Offer Nissim event with the house room at B&B being so ty.
WittyHandle
I heard they're moving it to Red Lite ;)

i don't agree with you guys.
black n blue is presenting two rooms with a sick build up / logical progression throughout the night.
yes when you do this, some styles will be left out, although the trance line up offers a nice variety but in a logical, coherent way. Louis did an awesome job in my opinion.
i have no worries that this party will be largely attended. ticket sale is going very well :)
by bashing this event, in a way, you guys are asking for a third room to serve you better.
maybe next year ?
Spin Laden
as long as the music is good they can have dj cardboard cut-out for all I care. :p
half the ppl there won't even know who's spinning anyways, they're just starved for a big edm party. Now that BeB/Playground keep dropping the ball on Sensation, the opportunity is there for you guys to finally capitalize on the apparent void created by those guys.
HappyDude72
We're not asking for a third room, in fact we think 2 is too much.
They should have stuck to the one room formula since previous attempts at a 2nd room failed miserably.

I think people are bitching because they were expecting the sole "house" massive to actually have somewhat of a decent house line-up. As I've said before, BeB has decided to not give a crap about what made it the party it is (house for those who are wondering) and now it seems ( I SAID SEEMS) like BenB is doing the same.
Don't get me wrong, massive parties trying to make money is good to me, otherwise we wouldn't see any more massives, but 1 (beb/playground) keep booking the same artists over and over again (guetta, tiesto, armin) for each parties, and now BenB's house line-up is less than spectacular (ESPECIALLY for a 20th edition).
Mind you the last name might change everything, but I highly doubt it.
I think most people were expecting, Rauhofer/Calderone, lawler, Sanchez, Mark Antony, Chus and ceballos kinda line-up. Now that would have made people go nuts for !
Again, I don't think people are bitching at the event, they're bitching because no massive is actually answering their call of something for their taste.
HappyDude72
@Krinker: Right on the spot... but I think you inverted your BenB and BeB ;-)

get over it krinkette !!!
please change your example to a 2010 line up if you want me to get your point. Also good to have legends in a line up, but please bring in the new acts too.

that's why i think there is missing one room.
everybody wants to put music in boxes, now deal with it. this reality must be reflected in your event if you wish increasing your attendance to previous years levels. in 1999 it was a rave... now you call it the sole "House" party...
edit: max told me you loved being called krinkette, couldn't resist to please you :)

@ Fran666: Thank you for posting a video of my favorite Black&Blue ever. In terms of production value, that's what I look for in a massive (something like Sensation White) and that's something B&B used to be. Although, I understand budget cuts forced them into making tough choices.
Also, no one is criticizing King Louis' sick lineup for the Trance room. If I liked Trance and all its derivatives, I would be jumping up and down with joy.
What we're questioning is:
A) the 2 room formula.
Black&Blue is meant to bring everyone together and here we go splitting them into rooms, which most likely will be according to orientation. Also, the last time they did it with Mistress Barbara in the Trance/Techno room, it was an epic fail.
B) the lineup in the "house room"
Fran666: "please change your example to a 2010 line up if you want me to get your point. Also good to have legends in a line up, but please bring in the new acts too"
I really hope you were talking about the "Trance room" and not the "House room" or I'll start doubting your "House" knowledge
This year's house room lineup is anything but 2010 or fresh. Rosabel were popular back in the 90s along with Hex Hector, Junior Vasquez and Jonathan Peters. Paulette was probably invited because she had a minor "wow" moment when she played at B&B and she decided to play "Let the Sunshine In" when rays of sunlight started pouring into the stadium through the upper windows around 6-7AM. Mark was invited because he is after all Mr Black&Blue. So the only ones still relevant are Chus & Ceballos.

i was talking if you had a dream line up for this year... what would it be ? i was teasing krinker on his choice that's all.
i wasn't talking about this year's line up, i think it is pretty obvious which crowd they want to please.

I don't mind Krinkette, Max has wanted me for a whole lot of time and he expects me to fall for him because he calls me this, just never thought you'd scoop that low.
As far as BenB goes, the problem is 2010 is their 20th bday and they had to come up with something spectacular. I'm really sorry to say (and me saying sorry usually doesn't come often) that they missed the mark unless they have booked something spectacular as the last act and, in all honesty, unless they have done a miracle and booked Daft Punk (btw new album out on nov 23rd) they have dropped the ball on their line-up and their roots.
BenB, however you want to call it: rave or house party, was alway about circuit house music, not only circuit house music but the best circuit house music. Now there is two things they could have done here: A) bring the biggest house names they could book and, if possible, the dj's that rocked the BenB the most over their 20 years (Mark Anthony is a great example here) or B) do the complete opposite and build a line-up with the future of circuit house music. I will actually say that I think that the addition of the trance room is a good thing as it will bring more people to the party and bring more awareness to their cause (and kuddos to whomever booked the trance room 'cause it's a great line-up), but by doing so they completly forgot the very people that made the BenB what it is right now. Sure the live acts and the dancers are still going to be there, and it probably will still be the best party of the year, but I'm pretty sure people are going to come back from the party and say that there was something missing from BenB this year.
I just hope to god that BenB doesn't lose its soul like BeB did when they introduced and "techno/trance" room.

Dream line-up ?
Three rooms based on the Christmas Carol (ghost from the past, present and future
1 trance room (Ghosts from the present) Trance dj's that are the "big thing" at the moment, for all I know about trance cut and paste the trance room from BenB 2010
2 "Circuit" room (Ghost from the Past) Dj's that have rocked BenB previously
09:30 to 02:00 = Mark Anthony
02:00 to 05:00 = Vibe
05:00 to 08:00 = Chus and Ceballos
08:00 to 12:00 = Danny Tenaglia
3 Tech-house room (Ghost from the future) Up and coming tech-house dj's that are probably not known by "most people" but that the edm lovers recognize as dj who have potential and maybe some big names
09:30 to 12:30 = Driss Skali
12:30 to 03:00 = Solomun
03:00 to 05:00 = Nic Fanciulli
05:00 to 07:00 = Joris Voorn
07:00 to 09:00 = Yousef
09:00 to 12:00 = Loco Dice
