Don't you have to be a registered business with a licence, permits (think it was state based in the US) along with a tax identification to start this kind of thing up?
Otherwise you may as well stick to ebay ing stuff. |

Are you kidding? Mikey Mike, Nukleuz, and Fundamental are "pretty much the same"? And Nukleuz's sock pic is more epic than anything ever done by anyone in the West Coast! |

He's already got a business/company set up. I doubt that selling like this would be an issue.
One thing that he SHOULD check out though, is whether he can legally sell second hand goods. I think ANYWHERE, there are licences that you must have for that, unless you're selling on a registered platform (ebay/craigslist/classifieds/whatever).
Look into that, Nathan. |

Lews, I did a simple search on amazon and ebay and that seems to be the going rate. I do also provide the option to buy used if you click the product.
I need to write an intro paragraph explaining I sell both new and used. Also trying to get my payment system at a place where I get paid immediately so I don't have to keep much inventory. I just buy whatever is ordered AFTER it is ordered. Not have to spend money ahead of time to stock up a whole bunch of stuff not even sure it's going to sell. I think the term is "drop-shipping". |
Where are you buying them from, yourself, if I may ask?
Did you make the $2000 on amazon/ebay selling these or selling other things?
Just think you should have a proven business model. Though I guess setting up this site didn't cost you much. |

it's just a pissing contest for him, he dislikes the uk so dislikes the uktas. that's fine by me, there have been some epic moments from the ukta over the years and they have spread out way more than nwtas, meeting loads of people collectively from all over the ta world. apart from jake, not many of that lot seem to mix with others :p |

Who has Jake met? :conf: He is going to meet Bas in a couple weeks and thats the first time I think he has really hung out with other TAs besides at things like Love Parade/Love Fest which I also have gone to and met people like Boomer and the other West Coast TAs. |

What he's doing is very common. And, in some cases, very successful.
He's selling on ebay /amazon/whatever. And doing ok in sales, in small numbers (by the sounds of things).
If he sets up his own selling website, and abides by ebay 's (very specific) rules (can't speak for amazon's rules) then he is able to divert some traffic from his ebay listings to his own site.
Internet selling is ALL about traffic. How well you gain it, but more about how well you use it. He's sold stuff, so he knows there is a market there. |
