i agree, but i have to say that i was incredibly disappointed last year when i went on the boat. the lineup was great, but i honestly could not hear worth a damn on the 2nd and 3rd floors aside from the rattle of the metal ceilings. i tried moving around to different parts of dancefloor but nothing helped. i think the only reason i could actually hear what was being played on the first floor was because they turned it down since it was practically empty.
honestly not trying to rain on anyone's parade because i'd really like to see cassy and ricardo playing together but i don't know if the way that boat is set up would do either of them justice as far as sound is concerned. |

All the ppl I know from NY that were @ Larry's boat party last year said it was amazing, I've only read about bad reviews here on TA. I guess TAs are not so easily amused :conf:
I love boat parties, can't wait for this one :D |

I can definitely see what you mean. I wasn't there last year, but I just don't see the acoustics or design of a riverboat (assuming they use the same one) giving justice to this talent. I guess it would be more for the novelty than anything else. Also, to me, Boat Party =/= Detroit.
Oh well, not likely I'll be there either way. |
