Today I made a major update of my Traktor Pro software. I postponed it for long time as I had some problems with my setup that are now solved. I jumped directly from an early 1.1.x version to the last release 1.2.6.
I tried to listen to some tracks on deck A and B after the update but I have constant jumps in the sound playback and even the waweform jumps rather than move forward.
Just in case I updated my Motu 828 mk2 drivers but without improvements.
The weird thing that I discovered later is that decks C and D instead work totally flawless, they have no playback problem. So this in theory should mean that it is not an hardware problem.
The only difference I noticed during reproduction is that the Motu soundcard is receiving a MIDI out feedback when I am using deck A and B, but not when I am using C and D. However this doesn't make much sense, since during these tests I have not been using any midi device.
I noticed that it is not possible anymore to manually assign the memory to the various decks, so I don't see any configuration option that can actually make a deck more or less performing than another one.
I will try some other experiments today, but if you understand what type of problem I am facing, any type of feedback is appreciated. Thanks. |

| Problem apparently solved. It still doesn't make sense that C and D worked, but I will take it now that everything works. |

| What did you end up doing? That's strange that you only had issues with A & B? Where you mixing externally or internally? |

| I had to change the way I imported my tsi files on Traktor. I am using a Xone d1 and a Stanton Scs 3d as Midi controllers. With version 1.1.2 it was enough to use the TSI merger to get them to work properly, however loading the TSI merged file in version 1.2.6 caused those problems (Stanton SCS 3d is used to control only Deck A and B) . Thus I followed the new procedure outlined on djtechtools.com to load the Tsi files: Set up multiple controllers in traktor. No conflicts anymore. |
