It's not illegal, but I'm pretty sure it's illegal to overpack a club where there is safety risk for the patrons. Also, even if you have a ticket to an event, the venue always has a right to deny you entry. There are many reason entry can be refused (intoxication, drugs, etc..)
For example, if you show up late to a boat cruise and miss the boat, why should the promoter be responsible for giving you a refund? Same reason if you show up to an event and can barely stand, you would be denied entry. This is nothing new and normal standard procedure at any nightclub you go to.
That being said, everyone who's been to Vola know's that we never hold lines or deny entry because someone forgot their ticket at home (infact I'd say people are lucky that Kevin let's people in even though they forgot their ticket at home, as long as they can show proper identification)
So, for those who are worried about entry, DON'T WORRY! Just come on time and enjoy your night as you always do!

J00F absolutely BLEW ME THE AWAY at Freedom 07. Mainroom was DESTROYED, never have I heard dark psy trance like he threw down god damn it gives me shivers thinking about it.
I would be ther 10000000% if I wasn't going to Stereo for Lawler. I really wish I could attend both :(

Awesome trance DJ.
I witnessed him in 02' @ system soundbar. He played a 5 hour set and the last 2.5 hours were some of the best deepest trance tracks I've always wanted to hear including Ecano - Run [Z2 Mix] or Oliver Lieb - Subraumstimulation. He took off 3-4 bpm's on Run and that track was magical :cool: :crazy: I thought he would drop Origin - Refined Intricacy but it wasn't to be that night.
For trance, one of the best live mixers till this date. |

Wow, 5 hour set? I must have missed that event, didnt even know it happened. Yeah, back then John was infamous for slowing down tracks, especially psy. I dont think he has to do that anymore, as conventional mainstream club scene has evolved since then and nowadays psy is easier digested by an average clubber. Soundbar was a cozy place, I liked it. Saw many dj's there including Seb Fontaine when he played serious trance. I remember that night when we came out, Blank & Jones album was in the cd player, and that came out really fast, cause it sounded like Britney Spears in comparison, lol, and was replaced by Battle Of The Dj's set by Push.

Clubs don't hold spaces they hold your tickets for you. If you show up at 2am and the club is packed and you are denied entry because of capacity, then its your own fault. Should have shown up earlier.
Like Oz said there are many reasons why Clubs deny entry, and if you show up early there shouldn't be a problem cause it will probably be packed to the gills in there, so I higly recommend it.
The only way tickets are refunded is if the show is cancelled, postponed, or some other factor involving the show. Not because you bought a pre-sale ticket and decided to show up late and the club is already at capacity, sorry to say.
Anyways this event is looking massive, looking forward to it, can't wait. |
