iPhone: how to disable voice control?!

I don't have an iphone 3gs yet, but want to know something before I buy it..
Is it possible to disable the voice control feature entirely on an iPhone 3GS so that if you by accident press the home button and say something that the iphone recognizes as command like say a phone number or talk about a song it won't react to it cause that seems really annoying?
1- I read that if you go to passcode lock settings, that you can disable voice dial, but will this only work when your iphone is locked? So if your iphone is not locked with a password and you say a number, will it still dial it even when voice dial is disabled in passcode lock settings?
2- second, if you go to passcode lock settings to disable voice dial you apparently have to set a password.. does that mean that from then on you always have to enter your password even when you simply switch your iphone on or only if you want to change certain settings?
3- third, can you disable voice control for starting to play songs if something you say would be recongnized as command to play a song?
4- finally, iphone apparently has a setting called "never to hold the button down" or something.. what's that and can that disable voice control?
Thanks for helping with my questions! |
