Hi, I did DJed at an event, thrown by Horrible Children, in Atlanta, last year, and I was told by some of the promoters, there, that I was a hit. And the people on the floor "did" all come up and grab up all of my demo CD mixes (about 70 of them) after 45 minutes of me playing and the MC yelled out that I was giving out mixes. More like mobbed me. :p I almost didn't have time to match my beats for the next song because I was too busy handing them out! :p People also cheered after my set, too. Not that I'm trying to brag but I definitely would love to come to Atlanta again! But it's been hard to get me out even though some people in Georgia have been trying to get other promoters to book me...but no luck...You guys do have an awesome vibe and you guys know how to throw some awesome parties! I would love to join you guys again! Besides...I have some new hard trance vinyls that I think you guys will really like. :) Will even drive down there, too. I live closer, now. I'm living in Houston, Texas. That's about an eight hour drive. I was living in Arizona. Had to take a plane to Atlanta for that last party..
I'm mainly a hard trance and club trance DJ but I also sometimes spin hardstyle and a little techno and house in my trance sets. Got a hardstyle mix on my DJ main page, too. I don't think my style is like Tiesto, Armin, Ferry, or A&B. Not really into that Netherland commercial style of trance...Though, there are a few nice tunes that come out of there. My style is a little darker and harder. So, if you're looking for that "evolved" vocal sounding trance, that a lot of producers are pushing out today, you probably won't like my style...but if you miss the days when underground trance was very popular, you might be in to these mixes...Though, I do love a "good" vocal but lets not get carried away, here.. :p I want the floor moving...Not standing and worshiping.. One vocal for every two hours of trance. Anything more is pushing it for me.
Anyway, my main influences are DJs like DJ Dag, kai Tracid, DJ wag, DJ Dean, and Talla 2xlc. If you like, here is a classic hard trance trance mix of mine. Maybe you'll want to give it a listen. I love my trance with the 1996 - 2005 old school underground sound. I look for that sound anytime I buy new tracks. Yes, they are still making trance with the old school underground sound...Few but still. Anyway, if you decide to listen to it and you like that mix, check out my other mixes on my main page. Maybe you'll like them too. If you would like a copy of any mixes, pm me and let me know.

I have no problem DJing in a room about a hundred...give or take. :) Hell, this very small day park party, years ago, had about 20 people dancing hard at my set. That was all that was at this party. I loved it! :p The Horrible Children party was about three hundred. Give or take. That's my estimate, at least. No Tiesto "concert" size but it was very nice, anyway. :) Besides, some of the best parties can be small...If it makes you feel any better, I have DJed at parties that averaged about 6,000. :) Used to do it all the time.. |

.....since when did it become a sin to toot your own horn?? But maybe you guys think I'm not good enough to toot my own horn... By all means, listen to my mixes and give me feedback. :) But in return, I would love to hear your mixes, too. So, I can make mine. :)
However, if used ableton or some laptop that practically does all the beat matching and blending for you, to make your mixes, you are not qualified to be judging any of my mixes. I wanna compare my mix\mixes with "a real" mix\mixes done by a real person. :) Not some mix that a computer did. |

Explain to me this:
how many movie critics have to be able to make a full-motion picture before they can critique?
how many food critics have to be able to cook that exact meal before they can critique it?
Hmmm?
Hmmmmm?
ok
alright.
So now that we have that out of the way, my mixes are in my sig, I won't listen to yours because I don't care.
Learn brevity and humility and what you're talking about :p |

Learn brevity and humility and what you're talking about :p | lol...I guess you have a point, there... :p I just get a little miffed when someone listens to a mix and they make a feedback saying that a mix isn't as perfect as theirs and come to find out....their mixes are done by ableton. :p Well, I use my ears to match my beats. Not my eyes. Anybody can use ableton to beat match and blend. But not everybody can use their ears to make a two to three hour flawless set.

Well, to tell you the truth, this topic was really only meant for any promoter who might be interested...Yeah, it was a long shot but what the hell?? You can't take my birthday away for trying, can you? Or, can you??? :conf:
Look, I have many years of DJ experience and there are people who love my style of hard trance. There are many who don't like trance at all. This topic is not for them. If you are one of those promoters who are looking for someone the shed sunshine up peoples ass, on a rave forum, I am probably not for you. If you are looking for a really good DJ, who "will" rock a floor full of hard dance lovers, maybe you should check me out. Or, maybe not. Just throwing my self out for the possibilities...
As for the other people, "who aren't promoters"....You can check me out if you like...I'll even give you a copy of any mix you like, if you want...or you can go some where else. It's all cool with me. Just if you're into really good hard trance, you'll be missing some great mixes. :)
But one thing I do not have time to do is sit here and argue with every damn other DJ in this forum, who are possibly looking to get themselves up the latter, about how ty I think DJs, who cheat, are. :p Peace, I'm done. Promoters, pm me if you like what you hear... |

No biggie, really, I was just giving you an honest opinion and appraisal of the original post and following thoughts.
It was more of something that should have definitely been a pm. Only less pompous. |
