Much better! I think the bass-line (you might try layering it) can come up a bit, but, really, in-so-far as something that got my attention, nicely done. Like the lead with the formant filter on it. The break's a little too long and I don't care for the cuts, although if you were to get a little more surgically glitchy with it, that might not be so bad. Keeping that lead in the same place, after the re-launch, doesn't really do the song any favors. It needs to do something else.
But still, much better. |

I thought this was really nice! To be honest I wasn't expecting much after Eddie's many pointed remarks towards you lol (he's being cruel to be kind trust me!) and I was pleasantly surprised. It sounds a little dated as far as the percussion goes, but sort of a nostalgic way - a nod to classic trance. But the wispy synths and pads that weave themselves around it do add a more modern touch. Some classy synths in there, reminded me of something Solarstone might play.
Yeah I think you can do without the cuts at 6:46 and the faded hang you've done at 6:49 sounds a little weird and doesn't create the drama you're going for. oops, that bassdrop sample at 4:40 ends way too abruptly, extend its tail out so it blends! But overall it's good - my main criticism is that it's too long, the build is about 2mins too long, same with the break - for this sort of track you need to keep the progression moving and say what you need to say in well under 8 minutes or a DJ won't be able to play it because the crowd will lose interest. Keep at it :) |
