He has El Michels Affair to thank for the beat. Leon Michel heads it up, mostly out of the Truth & Soul label in NY. They produced a wicked album for Lee Fields called "My World", and done a tribute album to Isaac Hayes, Wu Tang's 36th Chambers album, and a bunch of other great stuff. Definitely worth checking them out.
