Very interesting and very original. Nice tension builder. It felt, in the end, a bit anti-climactic. I was kind of expecting the song to just go nuts after you worked it into that corner, but instead I got a blue-ball drop.
It felt sparse in parts, too, like there was a density to it that prohibited the addition of other instruments that could have added more energy. I thought that there were some parts in it where percussion could have taken a lead and really propelled things.
Overall, however, I have to admit that I like it. It's trying some things that most people would avoid but that you managed to pull off with a degree of finesse.
Understand, I'm looking at your song and thinking the above is what I would do to it. If you're happy with it, don't change it. I still like it. |
