Audio Priority in Win 7

Just got my new win7 SSD up and running. :D
Changing the audio priority as per:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/lib...28VS.85%29.aspx
Changed Priority to 8
Left Scheduling Priority at Medium (Priority is treated as 2 otherwise)
SFIO Priority changed to High
Added "Background Priority" DWORD and set to 8
Is this cool or is there something I missed/set incorrectly? |

| I'm on Windows 7 myself but I'm wondering why one would go through the hassle of optimizing manually. Everything works great out of the box for me. |

OSX is fine for basic web browsing and chat; which is what my wife uses it for on the road.
There's no way I would downgrade from Win764 to OSX and miss out on all the fun stuff Windows has to offer... The best games, TV playback and recording, Bluray 2D/3D.... basically anything related to multimedia and entertainment on the big screen.
Windows also offers lots of cool customization and performance tweaks like the one in this thread.

| Mac's are cool and all, but you want to do real work pc is where it's at. I own a mac book pro myself ,but most of the time I'm on a pc. Only time I use my mac is for djing and simple web stuff. |
