| These lists are often so full of inaccurate facts that you can barely take most of them seriously. I can tell for a fact that, though this guy did some research, it's based on myths and "I think-isms" more than anything else. |

I fail to understand the meaning behind this :nervous:
Most of the lists are compiled by users(names are under the title) so there will be some bad apples in there I'm sure.
I recall reading something that was completely inaccurate(10 tricks casinos use on you) but it was sent in by a user(Kjsem78).
Like cracked.com, I wouldn't take everything written in an article as %100 fact, which inevitably leads one to doing their own research on said topic. Listverse/Cracked/etc is a good starting point based off the little information provided i.e.

The deepest lake in the world is in the former USSR and it is Lake Baikal. It has a length of 400 miles, a width of roughly 30, but its depth is just over a mile: 5,371 feet down. It is deep enough, so is speculated, that all five of the next largest lakes: The Great Lakes could be emptied into it. |
Ok, this is interesting. *Opens Google Images, types in Lake Baikal, switches back to web, checks out many sources, goes to Amazon.com, purchases a book on Lake Baikal, purchases more books on Lake Baikal(because we all know depending on one source is not always the best way to gather information :stongue:*
