Hi everyone, I'm just looking for some advice. I've been dj'ing in my bedroom now since last summer but I got a new laptop at xmas (Sony Vaio VGN-NW20SF) unfortunately this doesn't have a line in connection so I bought a cheap RCA http://www.decks.co.uk/products/behringer/UCA222
This isn't what I'd call good quality but I've put up with it for a few mixes that I've recorded, now however I think I'm getting better at mixing but I also want better sound quality from my recordings. Has anyone got any advice on what is a good recording interface? I don't need anything with loads of options and connections for MIDI controllers etc I just want something that will record a good sound.

| I've heard good things about the M-Audio Fast Track series and the Echo Indigo cards. Different price ranges though but check em out. |

| I'm using audactity 1.3 at the minute but hoping to get something more advanced in the next couple of months like Ableton. |

I haven't heard of anyone using audacity to dj.. too funny! Fair play man.
Way to make things difficult for yourself but fair play. |

I'm pretty sure he means that's what he uses to record. :p
Anyways, I own the Native Instruments Audio 4 DJ and it works perfectly. ;) |

Native instruments are also doing a promotion at the moment whereby you get a free upgrade if you purchase the audio Dj2 4 or 8.
2 and 4 get you Duo (instead of LE) and 8 gets you traktor pro.. |
