Actually Armin van Buuren , Tiesto , Ferry Corsten and Markus Schulz destroyed trance. This are like the big brothers you try to do what your idol does and i've being saying that what this guys produce and play it's not trance it's something very cheesy and commercial between trance and house.
Trance is 140+ bpm melodic and with amazing build ups, now Trance it's house with sidechained pads and loads of vocals, damn trance it's a melodic genre, doesn't need vocals.
They like to produce true trance, Tuvan was reasonably good, Radio Crash and Twice in a blue moon the same, The New World... but it's like i make 9 cheesy tracks to earn money and 1 track that i like.
The worst thing that happened to trance it's stop being underground. |

| If something is a certainty in these forums is that there is always an idiot playing the 'jealousy card' in a thread of this nature and another idiot pointing out that this is TRANCEaddict.com. Strange thing this time is that it's generally the same idiot that utters both statements. |

You realize that 20% of girls you were talking about in the other post that were into trance are only into it because it became more "housey" and popish :p
As far as trance goes, only men dwell in the "underground" sweating in their caverave. |

Sure Trance never had vocals, but for the time being that's what is popular right now. For example, older Tiesto tracks, are way different than the current stuff. But he's reaching out to other markets. Which is good and bad. It introduces new people to his style but in many ways disappoints the ones who have been following him since day one. Pros and cons of being an artist.
It's all in cycles. Everything changes into a new beast but eventually it retros back to its origin. Every musical genre or almost every genre has been diluted, saturated in some form or another. |
