No other DJ can match this guy when he is on.

Selection, flow, mixing, rare tunes, fun, atmosphere..on and on and on

DH > all.

Doesn't he play really slow though? If that's the case it will be VERY hard to do this party after listening to a 3 hour Rank 1 set. I am NOT saying Danny is boring, before everyone gets all worked up (I have never seen him so I'm going into this with a fresh slate!). I'm just saying I know my musical taste and going from trance to slower house (no matter how well his set is structured) is generally not a great fit for me. Then again, there ARE a few hours in between! :)

I'm also a bit skeptical since I've heard many amazing things about him, but I've also heard from a couple of people that he's boring. I won't be one to judge though until I see him for myself!!

Danny is one of the true masters in the art of musical storytelling.

Honestly V, you may end up not moving on the dancefloor... But if you come with your ears open for something different, something different is what you will receive...:)

Alex, you want house... you're gonna get house.

Exactly. This is especially the case with his marathon sets, which are a perfect example of masterful programming and progression. He'll start off slow, but very smoothly work his way to the more pounding stuff. I'm gonna upload one of his marathon sets so you can get an idea of what a Danny Howells marathon set sounds like.

Arc closing party :D

either that or the Sunset club one. I'm leaning towards the Sunset Club simply because it's slightly shorter and less of a hassle to upload.

edit

Ok Veronica here's the Danny Howells Live@Sunset Club, Charlottte Australia set I just mentioned:

[[ LINK REMOVED ]]

Thanks again to the people at Mercurcy Server, where I shamelessly stole the link from. First hour is all chill, downtempo, funk stuff. He gets going in the 2nd hour and there's no looking back from there. For proper enjoyment I suggest you put this on on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon and just sit back in the sun and relax.

edit 2

Listening to this again and I gotta say I prefer this over the Arc Closing Set anyways...so this is a better representation of Danny imo.
