Hey all,

These are some progressive trance tracks I made from scratch with Reason 4. Please leave any feedback, advice, and support you have. All input is deeply appreciated. I am not signed at all and have started mastering my own tracks.

If you are a fellow Reason 4 user, feel free to contact me to discuss music production, trance, etc.

Listening now. Very interesting. I'll get you some more feedback as I finish it, but it sounds very good and I'm enjoying myself with it.

I don't think there's any critique I could give that would really be helpful without understanding what drawbacks you're considering about the songs you've made. I'll admit to having a preference for all but the last two songs in your soundcloud selection, but even those are interesting and indicative of a differentiated style which, if the songs were uploaded per their chronological progression, seems to be growing in subtle ways.

Preference wise, I found some of the rhythmic chord cadences a little halting and would recommend working on developing a sense for rhythm which has a little more flow. While the mix was stellar, if I was pressed on one more area of improvement, it would be that your mixing could do a little more to create atmosphere for the music by pulling back on the volume, with EQ, fader and/or panning adjustments. If the first two sentences of this paragraph weren't, the rest of what I might consider feedback is sort of disrespectful to your own personal decision making about your music. It would be like telling every trance producer I reviewed that I liked the song they made but they should have used a break-beat instead of a four-on-the-floor kick.

Personally, as much as programs like Reason and Fruity Loops get crapped on, this collection, to my mind, stands as proof of their viability. Your mixes, in spite of my erstwhile critique, are rock solid, very clean, and even distracting; as I wound up being late for an appointment last-night, in part, because I was thoroughly enjoying them. Please keep up the good work and I hope you'll stick around.

Hey Eddie,

Thanks a lot for the review. I just want to first say thank you for taking the time out and actually listening to all the tracks I posted. They are in chronological order as I produced them. I actually have another 6 or so tracks that i have not posted yet....waiting to master and fix them lol.

I am an overall musician that can virtually play every and any instrument known and I also taught myself everything from A to Z about music and production, so I am learning more and more everyday and appreciate all types of feedback. It makes me happy to see people enjoy what I create. Sorry that you were late for your appointment haha but it meant a lot to me.....I have friends who don't even do that for me.

Anyway, you will be hearing plenty from me in the future since I try to produce everyday. If you have any tracks, please send them my way. Hope to work with you in the future maybe.

Thanks again,
Mike Magno
