We bought our tix as soon as the earlybirds were out, scored a sweet deal on a room at the Inn on Ferry Street (midtown, but with a free shuttle to Hart), and just filled the remaining two seats in our rental ride with a friend and his wife. Lookin' good!
Everyone's gaga'ing over the Europeans, but I'm looking forward to hearing the hometown flava playing on home turf...
My picks:
Inner City – Live
Anthony Shakir
DJ Godfather
DJ Pierre
DJ Sneak
K-Hand
Kenny Larkin – Live
Kirk Degiorgio
Luke Hess – Live
Mark Ernestus
Mortiz Von Oswald Trio – Live
Orlando Voorn – Live
Punisher (if you've never heard Michelle spin, I'd highly recommend checking her out!)
Rick Wilhite
Rob Hood – Live (whut!)
Rolando
Sean Deason
Stacey Pullen (yes, yes, yes please)
Theo Parrish (nice of them to mispell his name on the site)
Woody Mcbride (so looking forward to his set!)
Going to get my fix of what's been missing from the T.O. scene since the turn of the last decade. Damn straight... |

i'm gonna try to make it. if i can get air travel around $300 roundtrip, looks like the room will run $100 a day... so if i stay 29th & 30th, that's $200... so about $500 roundtrip... hmmmmmmm.
going to have to figure out finances, but i've been looking for something to do late may. |
I will be duly impressed if at this point you can get a hotel in the downtown core that isn't a roach-infested sketch-hole for $100/night. |

Whichever one is "zero miles" from Hart Plaza :) so I imagine it's right there within walking distance like the Renaissance Marriott is. |

i'm staying at Ren Cen again. got our suite booked back in Feb.
this year, i'm bringing my own towel. they ran out of towels last year and i had to dry myself off with a hand towel. :wtf: |

| I'll be at the Ren Center as well. Rooms were sold out for the longest time, but when I tried back at the end of March they had a couple of openings. A bit pricey, but totally worth it. |

And how!
How long are you going to be in town for? |
|

i'm still trying to figure that out. definitely Friday - Tuesday. we were thinking of heading out Thursday and visiting some friends in Ann Arbor, but we might have two more joining the party bus from NY so the details are still being worked out at this point.
you? who are you coming/staying with? |

Friday through Tuesday, as well. I've nabbed my own room, gonna put up a friend on Sunday night who's gonna be in town for a family reunion that weekend. There's a load of people coming in from Seattle, too; worlds are about to collide.
Edit: Boat presales are at $50. I dunno if that's worth it... |

oh, regarding the boat. i went last year and i thought it was really fun. a lot of people complained that it was too empty since the floors are huge, but it didn't bother me (and i was on the emptiest floor, but how can you go wrong when Ame plays 2 In A Room - Wiggle It while Kristian tries to eat everything in sight... including his scarf, a CD, and a corn dog that was spinning around on the platter for a good 10 minutes). it's a cool setting for a huge party like that... and it seems like that's where the majority of people are going to end up on Sunday night.
luckily i don't even have to think about whether it's worth it or not. Lovebirds on a rooftop >>>> any boat party. :p |
