Great Armin Van Buuren Comps
View this Thread in Original format

hey guys. recently I just got interested in Armin Van Buuren since so many of his tracks are always featured in comps out there as well as many by Tiesto.

I can't decide whether to get "In Motion" 003 or "Transparance" 004

which is better? i was some hard driving trance.

AVB004, because its newer. Regardless of the tracklist, you dont want to listen to old tunes.

I also agree that avb004 is better. BUT I dont agree with the statment on old tracks. Id rather listen to a good old track than a decent new one, the only time a track being old becomes bad is when youve heard it to much and its lost its meaning to you.

When an album/track "loses it's magic", put it away for about a year. Play it only then. This works wonders for me because I'm always hearing different stuff so, those albums that I bought in 1999/2000 actually have given me their magic again. I was just listening to Enigma - MCMXC A.D. (haven't listened to it since 2000-07-15) and it just blew me away agin, (like on 1999-09-18, when I first bought the album)!!!

If you want an Armin van Buuren compilation, I recommend "Boundaries of Imagination". It is 1 CD, so you'll get it cheaper than a 2CD compilation (might be helpful if you are just new to AvB's works), and it is on the Black Hole label, so since you are in America you will find it for a good price and possibly in a local store.
(^^ imagine that, a trance CD in a local store in the US  )

This is one of my favorite CDs, you can tell a lot of work went into it... the way the tracks blend into each other is great, and there are a lot of classics on here. Check this one out!

Go with Boundries of Imagination, or Transparance.

I have both AVB001 and Boundaries Of Imagination.

Boundaries of Imagination --> by far his best compilation. Proves that he knows the programming of a mixed CD. Classics...breathtaking trancers..

If you prefer newer tunes....go for his Transparence...it'll blow you away too...
