it's going to be extremely expensive + wear fast cause it'll be a dubplate ( acetate ) won't be able to play it after a certain number of plays ( varies with the quality of the dubplate,, ranging from 30 to 100 if you're lucky ) cause it wears out
the price is like 40 bucks, well depending on were you go
try to contact the people at vinylium.ch they do great service |

To be honest, if you're an individual, don't spend money on those things, you'll lose big way. If you want to press vinyls, go to a pressing plant and ask there. It's already expensive enough.
The only way I can think of a useful (read profitable) usage, is if you own a music shop. You could set up a vinyl cutting service for guys that want to press their demo's on vinyl for a small price. |

around here it costs about $1,800 (including 15% tax in canada...) to press 500 records.
take a look at http://www.mp3vinyl.com if you want 1 or 2 dubplates made. |

?!?!??!!?!?!?!?!?!?!
There are websites on the web pressing and selling vinyl? I though this was illegal? Anyway, even if you had a vinyl cutter and you pressed your mp3s quality would not be as good as the original vinyl. |

no offense but that comment there was pretty stupid!
off course it's legal!
well yes and no ....
if you as a dj are going to press 500 copies of a track I doubt you're gonna do a copy of something you didn't produce then again , but then again don't forget there's all these white label bootlegs ( and no white label does not equal bootleg ) .....
pressing vinyls is totally legal ..... well maybe I didn't understand what your point was .... but none the less it is legal!
concerning your remark of pressing a vinyl off an mp3; where I think your whole comment is based on; that would be the most stupid thing to do when you see the price of cutting a dubplate or pressing one ( which is non sense cause you'd have to get the mold done for 100+ dollars easy + the cost of pressing )
it appears that htfr for uk sells copies and that they suck .... |

| Actually I didn't know they where only selling in huge quantities, I thought you could order a single record. Well I guess it makes sense now. About the second point, I'm talking about the vinyl cutter that vestax produced, anyone can buy it and cut vinyl off his mp3s. |
