With an angular bassline underpinned by a grungy 4/4 disco beat and the most distinctive claps this side of 1977, "Atmosphrique" sounds futuristic and retro at the same time, and spawned myriad heated debates concerning the record's production date. Most of all, it left both DJs and dancers wanting more. |
In addition to DJing and live PAs as Metro Area, Morgan Geist & Darshan Jesrani enjoy solo gigs across the globe. It's together as Metro Area, however, that their individual styles really shine. Their 2001 release, Miura, was launched into legendary status before it even had a chance to really get going. Selling over 16,000 copies to date, this remains Metro Area's shining release.

These accolades of times past have stood the test of time. Metro Area's fabric 43 mix compilation was voted as Resident Advisor's #4 album of 2008. This is their first time back to Los Angeles in quite some time, and we're very excited to have them featured as a guest for Culprit.
Label honchos Droog also welcome the return of the DJ half of The Bystanders, as well as Ghostly International's newest discovangelist, Photocall.
