VST that auto plays notes or chords?

Hi,
While producing in Cubase 5, I like to keep a MIDI track looping while I tweak my VSTs, so that I can listen to how the changes sound.
I keep looking a small MIDI bar but I get tired of it very soon. Is there a VST that can auto play random notes from a scale? Or even chords.
I know there's stuff like "Harmony Improvisator", "tonespace" and "ChordSpace". But they don't play notes automatically :(
Thanks |

..is it really that hard to make a simple chord pattern? |

That's easy but I'll have to listen to it the rest of the time. Maybe I could find better notes / patterns if I had a VST doing that for me (While I tweak the syths) |

He didn't say that.
Try looking for some generative music VSTs.
Or some of the sugar bytes plugins. |

Most VST's have a demo mode that does this.
Any way, 7 Aliens Catanya VST generations MIDI patterns. |

Cubase has a MIDI plug-in called Chorder that you can program chords into to be triggered by a single key. So if you want to keep playing minor triads, you can program all the triads for the key you're working in and then you can just play the single notes to play those triads. If using instrument tracks, Chorder is available as a MIDI insert in the Inspector. |

You can usually do this with a basic arpeggiator, too. |
