Cry for help !!!!!

I have a problem recording my sets. I have never had this problem in the past. When I monitor the record level in the program, it's shows that there is sound coming through but I'm not playin anything, so I hit record and recorded about 5 seconds worth of nothing, and all I heard was this buzzing, fuzzy sound. So then I hit record with music playin and you could still hear it, it almost overpowers the sound of the music. Like I said I have had no problems with this in the past and I can't figure out how to fix it. If anybody could give me some ideas that would be great.

Change the setting in multimedia configuration (control panel)
set record on line-in, not on stero mix |
