Options For Setting Up A Wireless Hotspot?

I know a lot of people on here do IT work or are in some way involved in it, which is why I'm posting such a question on here.
I need ideas for the simplest and most cost effective setup of a wireless hotspot for a client. They have a small building and would like internet access available to their clients, while preventing them from accessing the LAN.
I thought about adding an AP to their existing router using DMZ, but it's not possible in this case because they have no available ports. SO, I will most likely have to buy a new router anyway, which will obviously have wireless. Does anyone know of a router that can segregate the LAN and WLAN?
I know there's several ways to set one of these up.
If there's an easier way to do it, or a simpler way that will cost some extra money (that's fine), please let me know. |

Get something that can run the DD-WRT firmware and call it a day.
Or spend a billion bucks on some Cisco I guess |

Although I'm not sure how good it'll be for just one hotspot. But I'm seeing these everywhere now. They're ridiculously cheap and they're good quality. |

If I flash a router to DD-WRT firmware, then I will have the option of setting up a hotspot? (I don't want to use complicated landing pages, administration, or other add on software)
Does it allow me to set one up without using a landing page? I just want an easy setup, so a client can see the hotspot and connect. |

| go with dd-wrt, has all the wireless options you want plus more... set it to reset itself every day at 5am and never have to powercycle again. |

No idea why you'd want it to reset itself every day. I've got a WRT54G v5 running on uhhh, sp22 micro or something, and other than power outages it hasn't been reset for over 4 years. That's the magic of DD-WRT.
Also if you use Tomato you're a scrub. |

| i wouldn't say it's absoultely necessary, but on all firmware i've had on my WRT54G2 i find that after torrenting, everything becomes a little more sluggish... even when the many torrent connections fully time out, my connection sucks for gaming, and wired PCs get jittery pings (slow browsing) - it gets worse over the days until i reset or powercycle it. haven't had to do that after setting up the 'keep alive' section of DD-WRT to just reset every morning. it's been doing that for over a year now, and doesn't seem like it's doing any harm either. |
