Good Deed of the Day

Today I was crossing Dundas at University. A little old lady asked me if she could cross the street with me. I said of course, and she took my hand as we crossed the street. Then she chatted me up for a bit before she assured me she was okay on her own and I went on my way.
I walked away with a smile on my face. I love the way a good deed can make you feel so nice afterward.

Yesterday, I realized I saved my cat's life by adopting him from the OSPCA in Newmarket. Yes the one that all over the news with the Ringworm roundup.
I took him home 6 weeks ago, and the outbreak began 5 weeks ago. He could have been euthanized in the last couple of days.
Here's some pix of Daco at the Newmarket OSPCA;

The other day I was leaving a restaurant and there was a homeless man outside of the Tim Hortons next door. He looked at me and started smiling when he saw that I had a doggy bag, so I offered it to him. |

Today, I helped a frail old lady who walks into my office every other day to use the bathroom...she can't see well so I walk her down the stairs, wait for her while she does her thing and walk her back up..today she started weeping while i was walking her..:(
I delivered a box of food from the food bank to a single pregnant mom and her 3 year old son. I also gave her some tokens.
I housed a homeless couple with a 2 year old in a two bedroom apartment in the beaches.
I also housed a homeless man and his son in another two bedroom..
that was just my morning..what can I say..I'm a Social Worker..
