GrotesQue – In Search of Sunrise 8 ‘South-Africa’
The fact that GrotesQue’s ‘High Quality Midnight Cruise’ had a big surprise in store was not the most important secret. But the Trance community had not expected anything that would cause such a stir….. Perhaps the best kept secret from the last few months, PT Events can now unveil to the public what they have been keeping hidden for so long. Saturday the 15th of May, together with Black Hole Recordings, PT Events will be launching the official kick-off for the 8th instalment of the immensely popular In Search Of Sunrise compilation series. Aboard the Ocean Diva, GrotesQue will be able to show up with Black Hole Recordings’ most treasured endeavour, mixed by Richard Durand!

Back in February Black Hole Recordings announced that ‘In Search of Sunrise’ – the holy grail of trance music compilations – would return in late spring/early summer of 2010. What followed, in the fraternity at large, was a period of intense, near-frenzied speculation. With Tiësto departed, who, you asked, would be taking over the ISOS reins? While everyone has been wondering who could take up the challenge, the final decision was taken not very long ago.
Richard Durand, once touted by Tiesto as ‘the new talent to watch’, will be taking charge of the compilation series which sells 1.5 million albums worldwide.

PT Events is excited about this tour that has been coupled to this album release. This feeling is likewise shared by Black Hole Recordings and both are happy that PT Events can use this opportunity to increase their scope within the Trance community. All thanks to the international success of the In Search Of Sunrise compilation series. ,,We had a huge secret to keep, but now everybody knows we can say we’re very proud of the cooperation with Black Hole Recordings for the next GrotesQue. The Ocean Diva cruise ship is the namesake for the immensely popular club that resides within it, and this club has been chosen to give this edition of GrotesQue the luxurious feel that such a special party deserves. Possibly Europe’s plushest party boat, the Ocean Diva will cast off from the Piet Heinkade and set sail for yet another unique and unforgettable club night of the kind that has become synonymous with GrotesQue. PT will be pulling out all the stops to bring the dizzying heights of their 10th floor home to the rolling waves of the Amsterdam IJ. “The Ocean Diva personifies style and quality and GrotesQue is the kind of party that was made for such a venue. We’re hoping that with this location and a cooperative approach to not only entice our regular visitors but also to welcome some new faces. Although GrotesQue and the Ocean Diva are well known throughout Dutch Clubland, their popularity cannot compare to that of Black Hole Recordings. Saturday May 15th will see de Ocean Diva sailing to new heights with the new man behind ISOS coming along for the ride and steering us all along in search of…… sunrise? Assisted by four other top Dutch DJs, Grotesque’s promising subtitle ‘high quality midnight cruise’ almost cannot avoid the probable success that awaits. With each edition the ever increasing showcase brought to us by PT Events impresses and brings fresh ideas from every corner. The line-up this time round has seen a small change, that being that Menno de Jong can no longer take part due to other commitments. PT began the search for a replacement with haste and is very pleased to announce the successor. Someone who is currently rocketing around the Trance world, someone who brought the High Contrast stage at Trance Energy in an early state of total ecstasy. He will be interrupting his overseas tour to join us on this epic voyage…..he is Sied van Riel! Together with Jochen Miller, RAM, Artento Divini and of course Richard Durand the ensemble is complete.
