Just thought I'd post my latest remix to see what you guys think. It's being signed to 405 Recordings and it's featuring on a forthcoming compilation, In Trance We Trust: Australia.
I think it needs more polishing myself, I'm open to opinions.
I'm not surprise man that this track is being signed - congrats.
Clean, nice produce, well rounded melody - great job my friend - liking.
Cheers

Solid. The lead is a little high, in volume, in relation to the rest of the track on my head-phones, but I'll take a listen on my speakers, tomorrow (sans mix-ear and disturbing the neighbors). The bottom-line is that it still sounds great. Kick-attack-build is superb and post-break is nothing short of exquisite. Nice variations and all the stuff you have going through the back-ground is really making this one of the better tracks I've heard in quite a while.
Great job on this.

Thanks for the kind comments guys :)
EddieZilker: I think the highs are a little loud in the mix as well, actually. I'll sort it this weekend :).

i was reading this thread, and there's good discussion going on.. so then i got to thinking that the whole "don't post if your track is about to see a release" rule is kinda overbearing and keeps the artist from getting feedback that they may not get in cd reviews/new releases. so i'm not gonna close this. apologies to any ta's who've had their closed recently
obviously the people who are going to take advantage of this are people who know when and what/what not to post here. just don't spam your on multiple forums, and use discretion.

Yeah, I'm actually looking for some feedback production wise, as there are still elements that I'm not 100% on, which I would like to sort out before I send the label the final master. The highs that EddieZilker mentioned for example.
I'm not looking to spam :).

Good, Mr. Acton. Kicks sound meek on my speakers. I'd avoid doing any micro-surgery on the upper mids - that's an excellent sound-design. They just need, IMO, balance with the kicks. All things considered, really excellent work, though.

Your opinions are appreciated :)
I think a re-work on the mixdown is required, as opposed to any tempering with the individual elements.

Sound really good, try to very your bass that would give you some action and groove to your nice melo.
Cheers

I do think more variance in the baseline would give the track more 'groove', but I'm actually happy with the bass. But even if I weren't happy with it, I don't have the time to go back to the roots of the track and change it :p. There comes a point in time where you just have to settle with what you've already achieved....damn deadlines!

Absolutely love that main pluck. FX are solid and the energy is good. Overall, I enjoyed this track and that's all I'll say if it's too late to make any changes.
