this is a joke right?
2002 ... a vast amount of tickets remain unsold. what does fifa do? they offer free tickets to several games for japanese / korean citizens if they have the jersey / team colors of the team playing. that whole world cup was a total sham and probably the worst one I have ever witnessed.
they should have held 2002 somewhere else and by the time 2010 is over we will be saying the same thing.
sorry but when 500,000 tickets remain unsold as of last month, ie 2 months b4 the world cup starts you know they made a mistake in choosing the host country. fans from other countries don't care to go (can't blame them for this either) and people in south africa won't buy tickets. what a joke.
this switching the world cup to a different continent every world cup is total bs. have it stay in europa, mix in a south american country here and there ... let usa host it once in a while and maybe throw australia into the mix to change things up and f everyone else.

You mightbe right, but IMO african soccer is better than Australian, or North American. I just can´t compare Nigeria or Cameroon with USA.
Its true that if the world cup was made in Italy or Spain, people from all over Europe would fly in. Now that its made in South Africa, I dont see people from Somalia flying in. |

not sure, but I think South Africa will have lots of last minute type of travelers - I have several friends from Montreal, London and São Paulo flying in for the world cup. Sure it would be super busy if help in either Europe or South America, but we must give the chance to other nations to held this event.

the coach is not only an but he is also a dumbass. milito is not in the starting line up. yet this guy tore it up at inter milan this season. he also left cambiasso and zanetti at home. two argentine powerhouses. tsk tsk. apologies for all you argentina fans. so much wasted talent. |
