I don't have original boxes.

Thanks

Most people send it through UPS/USPS in the USA. You've insurance, i have never sold something on ebay but how much are you going to charge for the shipment? If you've charged 30$+ the buyer is expecting UPS for sure.

When I sold my techs I didn't have the original boxes either, I just found some boxes at my Dad's garage, bought a massive roll of bubble wrap and padded the boxes out until the decks couldn't move when I shook the box.

Yeah the local big supermarkets will have loads of boxes (such as the kind that their fruit is delivered in) which you can have for nothing then just do what Rebel Brown says & fill it to bursting with bubble wrap.

Don't do what the clownshoe who sent one of my mixers to me did & just leave it flopping around loose in an oversized cardboard box. Had to go to Pioneer immediately after delivery for 2 replacement knobs. Luckily no major damage.

In case anyone is ever interested in this and searches this topic...

I removed the head shell and counterweight on the tone arm. Boxed them up separately and taped the tone arm down to prevent movement.

Then I got 2 x banana boxes from a super market (very big and strong). I lined the bottom with a lot of scrunched up newspaperand then placed the TT in that. I also got some free bubble wrap (again from super market) and used this along with more scrunched up newspaper to pad out the sides a lot.

I then covered the TT in lots of scrunched up newspaper and placed the banana box lid over it.

Tapped the whole thing up with lots of parcel tap and made sure there was no movement in the box, and viola!

Sorted.
