I'm pretty sure that's what enydo meant with that comment. ;)

i am in no way 'bragging' about knowledge. i am sorry that the fact that i share things i love makes you and enydo feel insecure, and i am sure for every insecure person who things i am bragging by exposing people to new things, there are at least two people who genuinely appreciate what I share.

we are all 'noobs' about music. i get schooled every time i go to the record store or a record fair, or meet someone with more or better records than me, every time i listen to a mix that i admire, every time i visit forums like deephousepage.com or rateyourmusic.com, etc etc. I don't get angry at people and accuse them of bragging or showboating, I learn from them.

Whatever, you just keep on being you, I'm sure it works for you. I don't actually think you're bragging, I just think you're a pretty douchey guy in the way in which you present yourself on here, and I don't agree with it, but to each their own. I'll continue to appreciate the music and ideas you share. Oh wait, you've made me far too insecure for that.

LOL, you see what we mean?

We didn't even disagree with you this time. I even said that I admire your taste and knowledge about music. I also enjoy and appreciate the music clips that you post here and on your Facebook page. I have learned a lot musically over the years I've been a member of TA and you're one of the reasons. But the way you come in here and post them is as if you're God's gift to TA. That's all we're saying. ;)

That was a play on 'high horse, i've missed you', the unicorn being some relative of the equine family.

oh please. i don't have enough fingers on my hands to count the times you've publicly tarred and feathered me for the same thing and were either 'three-quarters' serious or '100%' serious. next time you want to joke, i would suggest you say something funny, or use a smilie.

What I mean to say is, lighten-up. It's just an internet forum.

I think what you don't get is that I am just extraordinarily-ing-passionate about this stuff, and you confuse that with not 'lightening up'. That's just how I am. I'm sure if you met me in person, you'd see it is an infectious, earnest, well-meaning passion that I share with everyone I know, and not whatever complex you are pinning to me.

You're passionate and I get that, but don't run around on here acting as if we all have some huge lesson to learn.

how many people here know about the wigam casino? its something for people to know, and something people might be interested in, because the northern soul scene was truly the precursor to the british rave scene, and so was more or less the grandfather of trance culture here. as I said, I'm sure some people will appreciate what I share - if you don't, then just keep it to yourself instead of trying to flame me for some imagined braggery.

we all have plenty to learn. i found out about the wigam casino and the northern soul from some 'nefardec-like-ass' who shared it with me.

Nope, dead serious with that one.

Obviously we would never be friends, or even really two people who could effectively converse with each other. I learn plenty from various people, but at this point, I'd rather you not be one of them.

I'll just leave it at that.

so being an expert on social relations on the internet, Woscar, how would you suggest I post what I posted in this thread in order not to come off as God's gift to TA?

Then use the ignore feature - that's what it's there for.

What can I say, I'm an unfunny idiot.

See my last post for a deeper response to this.

:stongue:

But why would I ignore you when I actually enjoy things you post? I don't even mean this in the "oh yes, I love trolling this nef dude", I mean it in I genuinely do enjoy music, ideas, and whatnot you post. I've learned a lot from you. However, it's obvious we don't, and wont, get along ever. We're just different people.

Annnnyyywaaaayyys, it's cool, I just wont respond at all anymore. I didn't realize the stupid little digs I've made at you over time really meant that much to you, because they certainly didn't to me, and you're not the only one I do that to. Woscars gotten some of it as well, and I really have no real problem with him either.

I guess I'm just retarded.

And this is why we can't have nice things.
woscar
Well, you could've dropped this part, for starters...

It's not just on this thread though. Look at this comment from the SECT EP thread:

hi fi all around - sounds like a remix of 'jam on it' by newcleus, except not nearly as fun, funky, or dirty. don't like the proggy, filter-filled breakdown structure.

sectsy - cant stand the title, but i mind this track the least. i've never been a fan of those repetitive anonymous destroyed/filtered vintage vocal samples in anything. sounds like some kind of tilt dark prog from the early 2000s

what i like about this is that nice pad with the big LFO and the flittering percs. it also uses that old school perc sample found in house conductor - tonight i'm going to love you, which is pretty awesome. the perc work in this one is generally pretty good later on, way beyond the bs tech house (tm) percs of 'man of wisdom'.

Not that you're not entitled to your own opinion or that you shouldn't have a right to express it. But most of the time you end up looking like one of those nerds that loves to hate except for his own obscure .
