Although Ivory Coast has a fantastic team, they have it pretty difficult because if they manage to knock out Portugal they will go on to meet with Spain.
I can totally see Cameroon squeezing into the Quarterfinals. |

Interesting. Dont think Portugal would be considered dark horses given they finished top 4 last time and were also finalists in the Euro's back in 2004.
Japan have been in poor form of late and have lost their last 4 games and Denmark and Cameroon wont exactly be easy games so that's a risky pick. |

They haven't won anything yet but only placing once a 3rd place only because a legend was born and Eusebio made that possible. Their not a powerhouse of football while they should be. They have to prove that this WC. |

I don't think Mexico, portugal and DEFINITELY not netherlands can be considered a dark horse
out of those 3 i would put mexico as the best candidate for dark horse
IMO I think whoever comes out of group D behind Germany will be the dark horse team of the tournament (Ghana, Serbia, Australia)
Australia and Ghana have done it and Serbia is revitalized
The Brazil group IMO isn't even the group of death
Germany has the same final appearances as Brazil
portugal has horrible world cup history
ivory coast is a strong african team
and north korea sadly I give no credit to, but I don't what they are capable of
Germany = Brazil
Serbia =< portugal
Ghana > Ivory Coast
Australia > North Korea |
