just listen to the sets of mayday 2002!

seems like those old syth bass sounds are back! ( and i think its good )

the whole westbam set is composed with music like that...fisherspooner-emerge ( westbam remix ) is kinda like that...

i dunno how to explain that but im getting the feeling tthat something new is about to explode ( or maybe i did already explode and i missed it ??? )

if anybody understands what im saying please give me suggestions of tunes in that *genre*

:D

It's been going on for awhile in Germany.... since the mid 90's. Check out Lexy & K-Paul, they make/spin some wicked electro, as they call it over there. It is getting more commercial now... but I still enjoy it.

I have DJ Lexy Live from Mayday this year, and it's pretty good.
Last year's set from Mayday 2001 was probably better though.
I have several other sets too, I would have to dig them up.
Also, they have an album out from 2000, called Loud.
It had 'You're the One' that PvD played the out of.
Good stuff.

well I noticed mega synths lately that remind me of mega 80's synth tunes like Van Halen's - Jump... Dance Nation - Dance threw me right into nostagia land. :D

Has anyone remade Nu Shooz - I cant wait... this song has remake written all over it, with its powerful 80's synthline.

I've noticed this!!!

80's vocals and synths have been popping up all over the place lately, in every DJ set I've heard.

And I'm sorry to say, but New Wave is my LEAST favorite style of music on earth. This revival is pushing me off the deep end, even though it occasionally manages to sound cool. :p
