Dilemma

I have been listening to dance music for about 3-4 years now and produce as a hobby. I would like to make a living out of Djing and producing. However, I am also a person that believes in religion. As you all now nightclubbing is not a very 'holy' activity. This is where it becomes a problem for me. I have never been in a club, is it really that 'bad' of a place? I know this is a really weird post, but this has been bothering me for a while now. I just want to play music that I love and express myself and am not interested in taking drugs, drinking etc.
Is a balance between Djing/producing professionally and Religion possible?
Please don't laugh
and I would prefer not making posts such as "religion is bull, god doesn't exist etc.

| You don't have to drink or take drugs to go to a club or a rave. As long as you enjoy yourself and don't give other people , everyone will accept you. People might do a lot of "sinful" things there, but really it's all about bringing people together through a love of music. |

Just because you listen/play/produce/spin/etc dance music does not mean that you need to take drugs.

this is very true. it says a lot about you i think. some people just don't know how to be around that sort of things and if it's a problem for you then the club scene won't work well for you.
for instance, i don't smoke weed (never have) but find myself around it constantly. most people just assume i do smoke given how relaxed i am around it. i've been around people who will get all awkward when people are smoking weed or do any drugs for that matter. to be perfectly honest- i don't really like being around coke as i've been really close to people who've had/have serious problems with it but it's something you just have to learn to live with at times.

to be perfectly honest
you're gonna come across a lot of "unholy" activities if you get deep into the scene for long enough
it may end up just depressing you, and will certainly test your "faith" and desire to stay clean
i've had a lot of fun in my partying days, and spent many years going down that path - but realize now my time/energy is better off spent elsewhere :)
