seriously based on what? Leighton will be lucky to get a renewed contract, he is in no way an NHL standard goaltender, evidenced last night getting beaten 5-hole twice. Niemi isn't amazing but aside from basic technique his glove is ridiculous picking pucks from angles that most other goaltenders wouldn't be close to.

i didnt really care who won the cup, it was exciting to see both teams play. although i was still hoping for the flyers to win it was nice to see the hawks drought end.
i hate hossa, hes garbage but whatever, 3 times in the cup final i guess youre bound to win. exciting group of guys within the same age and similar taste in fun make it fun to watch the hawks. congrats to them and philly especially. what a year they had. |

This final series ranks up there as one of the ties finals in NHL history. The goaltending looked like my men's league goaltending and the star players all but disappeared for the majority of the finals.
The one thing the playoffs showed me is that the NHL is definitely a young man's game now. |

eventhough I'm a Wings fan...it was nice to see Scotty Bowman win another Championship. He helped put that Blackhawks team together

well they have something like 14 players under contract for next season for like 57 million....so they will have to make some salary dumping....hopefully the leafs can pull off something with Chicago. |

yeah notice they didnt interview niemi or did anyone mention his name after they won. and yeah, chicago's team average age is like 26 isn't it. most of those players are under 25. crazy.
when you're playing mario kart tourneys the night before you can imagine how young the team is. |
