Hi all!
Just back from a long vacation, and it's good to be back producing.
I downloaded a whole bunch of studio acapellas the other night, and thought I would try to remix something. I ended up with R.E.M's "The One I Love", played around with it a bit, and also tried to make it DJ-friendly.
Mind you, this was all done from scratch in a timespan of 24hrs, so there's probably a lot of room for improvement. But that's also one of the reasons I'm putting it on here, to get some constructive criticism;)

Sounds great.
The only things I have to pick at are that the vocals sound like they are hidden behind the instruments until they get louder a bit later.
Other than that, I really like it. Very catchy, and the instrumentals are very nice too. The entire thing has a pretty professional sound. There's just something about the vocals though. Try to reverb them a little bit perhaps. |
