Ok this may be a tad strange.
I have recently been sorting out my vinyl and cd collection and have a number of tracks on cd that I do not have on vinyl.
I am wanting to sell the cd's and then purchase the vinyl copy.
The period of music that I am wanting to do this for is what I consider my own personal "glory days" from EDM 1994 - 2002
It just doesn't seem right to be mixing vinyl and cd for that same period of music.
Anything I purchased tune wise after I acquired my cdj's should stay on the cdj....
Anything I bought (or wanted) before my cdj's must be vinyl otherwise I feel it's tainted....
Anyone else have a love affair with vinyl like this? |

| I would buy vinyl if I had money to burn. But I don't, so I don't. |

i sold almost all my vinyls. i kept those i couldnt put into a genre (usualy a quality-stamp imo), and those have been used from time to time after that.
i would not know how you think you would find all the tracks u have on cd on vinyl though but if u do just do it. vinyl lasts forever, while digital mediums constantly change. |

Anything on Golf Channel Records! They don't do digital :D
Same with RVNG...lots of labels, actually. I still regularly buy and play vinyl. |

| Really want to collect vinyl but being the kind of person that I am, I am intimidated by the amount of catching up I would have to do. There are A LOT of records that I would like to buy. |

Vinyl has been good for the ears and soul, there is a certain feeling I get from Vinyl played music that hasn't been felt in even the best mixed and mastered digital track. So the future plan, when i'm about 35-40 and can afford a vast collection...all music I will listen to at home will be purely on Vinyl. Whether it is Pop, Jazz, Hip Hop, Electronic, Soundtracks, anything. An eclectic vinyl collection, a turntable and a nice sound system will be my most prized material posesssions. :D
For now...digital works for me. |

I'm listening to Aira Force right now :)
After Platipus I might concentrate on Fluid. |

This is almost exacly what I do though. We even focus on the same era 1994 to 2002 though I still get the odd records from 2004-5.
All newerstuff is digital :D |
