Trying a new style - heres my first attempt. Feedback appreciated.

After many, many, many attempts with trance; I've decided for fun to change my style up a bit and try something new. It actually was an awesome experience because I learned a whole lot from trying a new style of EDM. I guess you would consider this more electro house with a trance influence. I will let you guys decide.
Minus some mixing still let to do, and mastering... heres the completed track. Enjoy!

The melodic off-beat line is very dissonant.. it sounds like you're using a synth with harmonies that, in the key you're using, are clashing with the bass. It's very distracting.
Production sounds okay, it's rather dull in the beginning, but it picks up. That synth, though, really ruins it for me. |

Yeah I agree. The beginning needs to be spruced up a bit. Didnt realize how dull it was until I listened to the track a couple times.
Are you talking about the synth that begins the track thats sits on top of the bass?
Totally didnt put any crashes in this track... dohhh.... FAIL. |

| I don't think it's the bass clashing with the synth.. but the bass itself is just sounding really dirty.. |
