Nem, PM'ed you with a direct link to the set and tracklist. Thanks for the opportunity!

Hey thank you, i'm going to wait a bit to mix the set , as you said there may be some tracks that i'd like to include , will get to you soon.
Nemesis44
Hey,

No worries, I will be hosting a few other DJs before that. Closer to the time we will make the necessary arrangements.

Tonight we have The Snark, it's going to be a wicked mix so check it out at http://radiofreebrighton.org.uk

I hear the net based version can be slightly patchy at times depending on listening volumes but it should be all good.

Cheers

Pretty cool, Nem. I have a show on Pure.fm myself and have been granting slots to TAs too. The resulting sets have all been great. If you want a mix from me, let me know so I can begin working on it. :)

Nem, is it okay to post the set up for download once it has aired?
Nemesis44
Heya,

I will post it here tomorrow, haven't got it at the moment.

We had another load of tech issues but the show did go out better than the starting one and the Brightonian people had a 60 minute dose of the Snark. :)

I will also post a pic of the studio... lol it's a bit rough and ready but it works... well nearly.

The most important thing was that your mix went out on air and it sounded really good. Also had some feedback from listeners who said they liked it.

Cheers

Sure thing, I will add you to the rota although your mix wont be on until July sometime but defo, need to start pinning people down for mixes.

This Friday we have a mix from UK breaks DJ Ben Tomlinson. Will be a good one.

Just got it.
It sounds amateurish as hell, but that's part of the charm of working on volunteer radio.

That said it hit a pretty big audience which is cool.

And yes I know, I have no skill as s radio DJ, talking just isn't my thing not to mention that I can't stand the sound of my own voice.

We had Mic issues and very sadly it appears that the first 15 minutes of The Snarks mix was not recorded. Total bummer.

If you notice there is a lack of jingles and stuff, apparently the PC that holds them has issues, but I kind of prefer that. Next week expect the jingles back again though :(

I made a separate post in DJ Promo with my set as well, which you can find here: http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...6492&forumid=73

btw I didn't think it sounded amateurish at all. :)

I'll give your set a listen as well.
Nemesis44
Maybe I am too hard on myself he he... but the thing is, I know how I want it to sound.

You need more volume on the mic that's all the problem, most djs record the voiceovers and add them later to the finished set with the jingles, kinda lame because they talk while the tracks are mixing to overlap the errors :P and stop talking when the song fully drops.

Could you share the 2nd hour track list? There are some lovely tech tracks
