pro tools mp hd cracked....

however i heard you can't use tdm plugins for some reason. its really interesting to see what avid does about this and how they react to their customers now that this has happened since they've been a bunch of giant c*nts for a very long time regarding features the community has asked for. this is going to be very very interesting

don't see the point without the HD3 integration. I suppose learning for the sake of learning the program might be worthwhile but the actual practical use seems non existent. You aren't going to be able to record 24+ tracks 0 latency with the cracked version and that is really in my opinion what pro tools is meant to do.

If you aren't doing that , just use logic.

sure, that's true you won't have the power a true hd system has. but 5 russian guys cracking HD still sends a rather large message to digi/avid

Not really. Pointless crack that will make companies paranoid spending r/d funds on new crack counter measures instead of features for paying customers.

I'm kind of with Brad on this one. I mean, Pro Tools HD is all about getting away from native processing and utilizing the power of the Core and Accel cards. That's why you can achieve those high track counts and rock-solid stability (presumably). Same holds true for the LE versions, without the use of farm cards, its just another native DAW like Logic, Abelton or Cubase.

The barrier for HD is obviously the high cost, and its quite obvious that LE was marketed by Avid as a stepping stone to the larger, more expensive HD versions. That has always seemed like their angle from day one. Still at $5,000 per card, it remains to be seen how many people can actually afford to make the jump. You really need a minimum of an HD2 setup anyway to get any serious work done, so there is ten grand just to get your foot in the door.

Where this and the LE versions seem very useful is for the pro producer who wants a project-level Pro Tools setup at home. He or she can come up with rough drafts and outlines, then take them into the larger studio to finish it out on Pro Tools HD. I see that happening a lot with some of the larger producers, both in and out of EDM.

Personally, I'd rather front Pro Tools HD with Logic. Then you get the features, instruments and effects of Logic, with the high track counts and (presumable) stability of the DAE, plus the use of TDM plugins. Best of both worlds.

lets note you also get a maximum of 10,000 voices with this

it will still depend on your hardrive and cpu. You can't expect the same performance. It would be like running a hackintosh. It works but not well enough to be stable and useful in a professional manner.

oh i agree dude, totally. a lot of people have been reporting crashes so big it crashed their computer in general. just an interesting development. what WOULD be interesting is if they hacked it enough to make pro tools networkable, have like three 8core macs networked, now that would be something intense

Don't you think that if you needed to record that many channels, you would probably have the money to afford at least the H2.

maybe, maybe not. 48 channels is enough for me with 8LE, but i think it's more trying to prove a point. didn't digi say that it wasn't possible for them to increase the maximum voice limit with HD? that it wasn't possible for them to implement some features the community asked for? i mean, the amount of bull digi says, and how much money you need to dish out in general just to be able to run an LE system is ridiculous. what a lot of my instructors are hoping for is digi finally listening to their customers. i can bet the bugs with this will be fixed over time, maybe not the lot of them as a cracked version never works as a legit version

but i'm just saying, i think digi deserves this, as much as waves deserves to be cracked and man handled

I'd suggest that most pro tools sales go to people who are learing it for colleges etc. And newbies who are told that pro tools is pro, so it must be good. Those people are all going to get use out of this crack. Basically, the crack's a bit of a drama for pro tools, since it means that people can now use whatever sound card they like with the program. That means that digi will either have to follow suite and free the PT software from the hardware, or face risking their entire user base because no one likes their overpriced hardware.

I think the number of new cracks that have come out recently is great. It'll hopefully encourage more developers to put more effort into providing better features rather than spending all their money on"uncrackable" protection schemes which cost the honest end user money.
