Anyone tried Nvidia 3D? I had a chance to try it today and was very underwhelmed. But I was about 10 feet from the monitor and in the sun. Yeah, I don't think that's an accurate review. I also wear prescription glasses, which I had to take off, so all I could see was that the monitor was turned on and it was, indeed, a color monitor.
Also, what's so special about Eyefinity? It just seems like a multi-display setup. I thought it was an entire hardware setup. I thought it was a special Eyefinity-ready video card hooked up to special Eyefinity-supported monitors which are to be assembled and calibrated by angle to create peripheral vision.
But it's just a very wide resolution display. So? I read that Nvidia doesn't have an answer for this, which is why I think I am missing something crucial to this "technology." Can you really copyright a resolution display (which is what I think ATI did)? |

The latest eyefinity is being able to run 6 displays off of one card. Overkill and bragging rights is what's it's all about. The 5870 and 5970 are still better options both performance and price wise. |
