recording vocals for 1st time, help needed with tune for practising

| can anyone think of any good vocal trance tunes where i would be able to purchase a vocal free/ dub version so i can practise recording and editing vocals? ive a singer coming round next week and we are going to record some vocals to see how well my setup can do it, cheers got to be trance tho |

Go to acapellas4u and do a search. I know that you can find Oceanlabs Satellite there which is a decent one to start with, there's plenty more though.
I found you can get pretty decent results with very basic gear. I recently started recording vocals with an SE2000 mic going into a CI2 in an untreated space and the results were perfictly acceptable.
Just get stuck in ;) |

oh yeah i remember that site! i downloaded miley cyrus's vocals and screwed them over in ableton :D |

Look for remix contests and you can maybe kill two birds with one stone. There are always contests going on from the bigger DJ's and sometimes rock band's and they almost always include vocals. |

| I ended up writing some lyrics to one of my own tracks, so hopefully this weekend could be fun and productive at the same time :0) |
