After boycotting the US for several years, during the Bush administration, Ricardo had finally accepted to play at Movement this year. It appears that Americans will have to wait longer to hear the man on US soil.

Last appearance in US was in 2002. Several americans made the trip to Montreal over the years to hear Ricardo (Mutek, Nuit Blanche) |

| Did he boycott the US because of Bush? If so, that makes little sense, as he'd just have punished the 49% of the Americans who didn't vote for Bush, which probably contains the demographic that would go see Ricardo in the first place. |

| The reason he hasn't done any gigs in the US since 2002 is that around that time, he tried to enter the US but found that he was treated very harshly by US immigration. Apparently it had something to do with his family having left Chile during the rule of the Pinochet regime and him being questioned about that. |
