?

Where does that come from?

I'm neither a Tiesto fan, nor a Ferry fan...that could explain the fact I've never heard that ^^ before ;)

I think Tiesto is extremely talented! He's awesome. One of my fav's. :tongue3

Man what da f*k, is this bash tiesto week??!

For me, i drove six hours (trenton-boston) to see him and ...DDDDDDDAAAAAAMMMMNNNNNN. he is off da charts. Simply bangin trance. To me one of the best DJs on the planet.

I couldn't even begin imagine what it's like with him and pvd on the same night (Cream thurs.) @Amensia in Ibiza. if only wishes did come true...

Yea ive noticed his mixing skills are getting a little off and i remember hearing in a set where he always wrecks. But nonetheless, his track selection makes everyone go NUTZ. I remember the first time I heard Green Martian in one of his sets and my jaw dropped.

i'll be honest, tiesto was the first DJ who taught me how to fly. I've attended PVDs@twilo prior to hearing tiesto@LL and it wasnt the same. PVD is another genre, a different flight. Tiesto@LL was a delicate flight but nonetheless giving me the goosebumps. Yea he cant mix for , it is true, but he was my first "goosebump" material DJ. Now ferry, I've only seen him 2x. once in miami for a 2hr? set at billboardlive. AVB was on prior to him. In miami his set was much much better than his at exits. Exit's set included "too many anthems" as dj tek said. and I didnt realize it until I had left the club and understood that. I mean ferry@exit did leave one lasting impression and that was when he dropped the 4 strings track. i guess its my appreciation for all DJs. i mean people can say he sucks this sucks, his trackselection whatever they want, but the fact of the matter is they are at the top. so let them be there cuz they obviously worked to get there. for the music not for the fame/money.

this thread's title is called "what do u think of tiesto" Not 'what do u think of tiesto as dj' or 'what do u think of tiesto as a
remixer\producer',so lets see... Tiesto IMO, is a very talented artist, bringing his signature "dutch trance" sound to the scene, i was immediately hooked...(and many ppl all around the world too!)but lets look at something thats obvious.. DJs do not get booked all around the world because of their DJing skills... they get booked because of their status\fame\popularity... if u look at famous djs, most of them blew up because of a song they had produced or remixed...
Tiesto: His awesome remix of Delerium's Silence
Paul van Dyk - For an Angel
Ferry Corsten - Out of the blue(Under his System F alias)
to name a few... so my point is, that i dont think tiesto is the greatest dj, matter of fact, i think he has poor mixing skills considering he is a "pro" dj thats been spinning for more than 15+ years...but since he blew the up with his remix of silence before this was noticed, hes fortunate to get away... its sometimes sad that real talented "djs" do not get the props they deserve but thats just the way this industry works.. because "the art of djing" is not noticed by ppl thruout the world compared to the songs being made by djs.. its much easier to like and appreciate a song than to appreciate djing skills...so.. there goes my theory about djs.. i hope i made some sense...i guess what i wanted to say about tiesto is
Tiesto : Bad DJ, Awesome remixer\producer... thats it!
tiesto14
another one....LOL...oh man...

Tiesto is 1 of the best DJs ever to hit the scene....granted he has dabbled with the boring progressive stuff and recentley with techno....
personally i think he should leave the techno to Picotto and even better Umek or Mills...but i will deal with him in his new quest for a different sound...

I just dont understand why when people don't like a particular DJs track selection do they feel obligated to BASH or FLAME him...i mean i think PVD will put me to sleep every night of the week with his boring tracks but does that mean i think he is a ty DJ?...OF COURSE NOT...PVD is hands down one of the most talented DJs ever to walk the earth...he's just not for me, but i still show my respect.

For people to say Tiesto can't mix is absurd...either your just looking to be cool by saying that, acting liek you know what your talking about or your just deaf...don't get me wrong Tiesto has his train-wrecking nights...as does PVD, Ferry, and Mauro...they are humans..if you want an absoulte set everytime then tell your local club to slap on a Majik CD...when you see a DJ live they dont have time like in the studio to correct a wreck...givbe them a break.

And if you don't like Tiesto's track selections and say he lays tracks...well every DJ has a ty set...even PVD.

If you say Tiesto plays the same tracks over and over again...well um look at every other DJ..they do they same thing...Ferry played FuMan Choo - Outlaw (Praha Remix)and Yahel - Suger 1 over and over again in so many sets also...and Picotto played John Thomas - Undisputed Life and Verdi a million times over and over again....PVD played We are Alive and Ralphie B - Massive over and over again aswell.....EVERY DJ or act plays the same tracks time and time again...not just Tiesto...get real and stop talking .

Anyway...if you dont like Tiesto thats fine...not everyone will....but to bash 1 of the most talented DJs to hit the scene purely on the fact that you dont personally prefer to listen to them is another.

oh ya Tiesto=GOD...
:D
