Finding modern interfaces with old digital synths?

I've found myself really, really liking older PCM modules like the Alesis QSR, Korg TR Rack, Roland D-550 (duh), Yamaha DX7 (duh), JV series, JD series, etc.

I was wondering if there were some more modern interfaces in rack format that integrated better and were much easier to control. A USB connection with a great editor and intuitive knobs would be fantastic. I know the Motif, Fantom, Roland XV, etc. offer something similar to this, but I was wondering if there is anything else. I've gotg a BCF 200 (faders) and a Novation 49, so I can do midi CC control, but I prefer at least having my filters and envelopes on the unit.

Apogee Ensemble is beautiful. I have the Apogee Duet. Unfortunately, this interface is only for Macs :( So, you're out of luck if you're a pc user.

You might also want to check out the RME interfaces, too.
