Midi mapping/stretching after recording

Hey you
So I've just spend the past 28 minutes searching online for this technique and couldn't find it - i think the way I've been describing it is wrong (ie midi mapping/stretching/expanding & midi tempo setting/drag midi etc).
So, what I've done is recorded a tune straight into Logic with no metronome (so as to get the groove right).
Now I want to take my recording and stretch it so that it fits 8 beats in the arrangement (at the moment it doesn't fit 8 bars - making it difficult to sync in other areas of the track.
I remember seeing a while ago (maybe it was in fruity), a tool whereby one can simply drag the midi and watch it expand out over the bars in the arrangement in order to get the right tempo map for the midi file.
Does anyone know how to do this?
kindest regards,
Steve |

Move the cursor over the right hand side of the region, hold down the option key and drag the region to your desired length.
