This is for those of you that are using legacy roland midi interfaces, seems microsoft hid the mpu-401 driver in Windows 2000 (can someone tell me if this is also so for windows xp?), took me a while to find it but to install it:
1) Copy WDMAUDIO.INF from \winnt\inf to a
temp directory.
2) Edit it with NOTEPAD and put ;; in front of these two lines as
follows:
;;[ControlFlags]
;;ExcludeFromSelect = *
3) Open Control Panel, Add New Hardware,
Pick Sound, Video Controller, Have Disk, Browse to the temp directory
and open WDMAUDIO.INF. Choose MPU-401. |
