I've sent him some PM's about his singer but have not heard back and I really want to finnish a commercial sounding track with vocals.
Wondering if I've p1ssed him off or whether the pm is broken or if he's just not around?
Dave - if your out there let me know either way as I want to move on with this and have other singers I can use but I don't want to get them involved now and then have to tell them I've found someone else in a few days time.
Cheers  |

he is probably tired of all the ty discussions around here, and decided to take some time off doing something creative instead. more of us should do the same. |

I don't know why there is a lot of anger, but my guess is it stems out of a sense of worthlessness, afrustration that the hunger for recognition goes unslaked.
Tis the same with painters and authors. Whilst some declare a pious saintly interest in the art for it's own sake, deep down I'd bet 99% of us crave recognition. Some famous wealthy artists make the claim it isn't about the cash and recognisition yet when they make it, you bet your life they keep every last cent and have no problem ammassing wealth. Don't recall David Hockney or David Lean giving away all that supposed filthy capitalist money they've amassed.
For my part I do not love my own work and neither do I expect anyone else to. Our number one enemy is over estimating our ability to deliver something truly edible. |

+1 to all of the excuses above. :)
Not to worry - I'm (barely) alive - I've just been buried in work, family, and music stuff, the dead HD that pizzaguy mentioned, and a nasty head cold.
Anyway, thanks for the concern. @Richard - I emailed you regarding vocals. |

No, I replaced it over the weekend. It was a 500GB drive that held all of my samples (drum sample packs, Kontakt factory and 3rd-party libraries, Spectrasonics, EWQL, etc.) - about 400GB of samples. I have all of the original installation discs or download files, so I didn't lose anything, but it sure was a PITA to reinstall everything, remap the samples, re-tag all of my drum libraries, etc. On the plus side, it gave me an opportunity to weed out some of the crap that I wasn't using, and to better organize my files. |

Glad you fixed/reinstall everything - sorry didn't see your post on KVR about your problem. It was an easy way (I think) to fix this problem, but I'm not going to drive you crazy after all lol.
Say hi to your family and your singers from us.
