everyday i try to google "xone dx" and filter by date added to get the most recent info on the dx. all everyone is talking about is using it with traktor. i know that the dx comes with itch but its a new version and is supposed to be better than the original. serato and allen and heath have partnered up to make this controller and i dont understand why everyone is buying the controller for 1300 and then going and hooking it up with traktor. i mean traktor prob cost 300-500 bucks in itself why not just use the controller as it was originally intended?
i have been using the original serato since i started djing and dont see myself switching to traktor. serato has never crashed and i never had any problems with it. i know lack of effects has been a big reason people didnt use serato but im not really into using effects that much. plus the djm800 has a great set of effects built in. i spin hip-hop for a living and serato is the standard for what i do. i plan on using the dx at home to spin dance music and also plan on using it to bridge ableton (if it even can cant find the info). another use for the dx is when im throwing parties i can spend more time hangin out with my guests and less time mixing and stuff...
i cant wait until i get some real info on this piece of gear all i can find is info about using it with traktor and other people complaining about some of the gliches and problems with the unit.
if anyone has any links to good reviews or any info on the dx (aside from the official info released by a&h/serato) id really appreciate it.

| haven't used/heard much about it myself, but figured i'd ask if you've posted the same question in the traktor forums? maybe there's something else they can shed some light on for you... |

I've considered it, because
1.) I already use Traktor, and have already paid for it.
2.) Already have all my music prepared for use in Traktor Pro.
3.) I don't want to change software, I just want a good controller.
4.) The layout is the first I've seen that is PERFECT for Traktor Pro / 4 decks.
I just don't really want to spend the money, and I haven't talked myself into going back "in the box" yet. |
