Hopefully i'm not breaking any rules by posting this in this board, if i am apologies in advance.
As header says I'm in process of starting a record label which is based here in Sunderland, with the main (not only) intention to promote local artists doing electronic music who are otherwise cut off from the music industry etc.
Right now i am in process of finishing funding and legal contracts etc.
To help promote the label it is going to be featured in the local press including Sunderland Echo, Metro Fm and am in negotiating with Galaxy yorkshire about having a showcase on the weekend which will be a track between the sat and sun morning to aslo help exposure in the mainstream way.
We are using company called Labelworx for out website needs which will be up and running by latest month to two month and they are also responsible for the automated mailing system of Promos to the Dj's etc.
All the usual label needs are in process of being taking care of and i am aslo looking for more information of what unsigned artists would like to have from the label they sign music too etc.
If you are in North East UK and produce trance music/techno etc please contact me here for more information including my own contact details so we can talk personally about direction the label will go and what it can do for you etc.
Have aslo been talking with several clubs local including Liquid, Point and many more about hosting some theme nights in future for the artists from the label and inviting established artists along to increase exposure of the label.
Finally am aslo interested in any female singers who have a great voice and a demo to hand, in return if the right singer is found, i will pay for 2 days at Cluny studios in newcastle to record a album, no songwriting skills needed as thats already done.
Demos and artists from all areas of UK are welcome as i said this is not just specifically for North East.
Label will be launched in September, will keep you posted in between then.
Thanks for reading and hope to hear your tracks and questions soon. |
