He's an arsehole mate don't need to sugar coat it. And every time he gives people advice it turns into a pissing contest about how he's established as a producer 9-5, and we're all plebs who are doing music as a hobby, and we pirate software, and we "blah blah blah blah".

I refuse to dick suck people, I don't know about you Eddie

Resorting to the ad hominem is a signal of defeat. I have yet to insult anyone despite all the insults thrown my way. The post , by any sane person, was extremely unclear. If Robby wants help, just like i've helped him out so many times in the past, it would be in his interest to be more specific.

I've helped more people on here than one should have to and for that I don't think I have to put up with all the lame personal oriented bull that really has absolutely no effect on me. You are insulting Mad For Brad, a pseudonym.

Why is it that every post Robby makes turns into a storm. My guess is that they always like precision and direction. I"m not a mind reader. You want proper help, make your problem clear.

To squash them of course.

Because they always usually seem to add an essential depth to a lot of trance.

im finding lately comparing my latest tracks with profesh tracks is that they did lack depth etc. so what ive been doing is layering the out of everything, spending alot of time giving everything there special little space and panning well. . it has worked a treat and almost instantly improved the quality of tracks. some food for thought :)

Implying that I'm giving him fellatio by taking an issue with your post is certainly something that I find more objectionable than anything he's said. If you can find something he's said that's more objectionable than THAT, please post it. If you're so burnt that you feel the need to make a socially manipulative statement which links subservient sexual positions with my perception of self, than you're the one with the real problem. I'm certainly not 'going down' on you by being coerced with such a vacuous and telling statement.

I wrote 436 words about my problem. Thats about 3 paragraphs worth of information and background related to the problem.
I'm surprised that you flaunt your masters degree to people, yet people with less education than you were able to understand what I was saying. Thats rather sad imo.

I also didn't antagonize you untill YOU made it clear, as in every single thread you post in, that you lack all general courtesy and respect for those you speak to.

I asked you to post an audio example. How in the hell do you consider that antagonistic. I wasn't impolite or brash and like always, you are the one that jumps the gun and goes ballistic.

You haven't really got an answer yet and the reason being because your question was extremely unclear.

Robby I know exactly where your'e comming from on this.

Over time I've started to make much more use of distortion and mangler plugs to add that something special, plus transient designers and just the right verb.

Me and my best mate have been examining classics such as Michael Jacksons 'don't stop till you get enough' and it's very noticable that these just aren't any old sounds, but a massive amount of experience and knowhow went into a track like that to make it sound so alive and vital.

Great producers and engineers I think glean thier edge through endless trial and error, just as notable scientists through the ages had a greater propensity to stick at compared to thier peers.

Mixing and mastering engineers are being pushed through the roof to get the loudest sound possible by their clients nowadays
